Life with Finn and Bella: A Foster Family’s Delight
Life has a way of bringing unexpected joys, and fostering Finn and Bella, two delightful doodle dogs, has been one of those moments for us. From the moment they arrived, their gentle natures and well-behaved manners have made them an absolute pleasure to care for. These two pups, despite their need for a forever home, are a testament to resilience and the power of love.
Meet Finn and Bella
Finn, the big boy of the duo, weighs a solid 64 pounds but carries himself with the calm demeanor of a seasoned observer. He’s a quiet presence in the house, often choosing to step back and take in the antics of the other dogs rather than join in. Finn’s thoughtful nature makes him a steadying influence, a sort of big brother to the pack. Now, that he has been at my house for a few weeks, he has started to play and wag his tail.
Bella, on the other hand, is a petite 56 pounds of energy and charm. This sweet girl has discovered the joy of playing ball and takes every opportunity to race after it, ears flopping, tail wagging, a pure picture of canine delight. When she’s not chasing her favorite toy, she’s engaged in playful tussles with Charlotte, Remi, and Bailey, fitting seamlessly into our pack of doodles.
A Challenging Past
It is unknown what circumstances that brought Finn & Bella to need a new home. Finn and Bella are remarkably well-adjusted and well-behaved. Their trust in humans, their eagerness to connect, and their affectionate natures speak volumes about the kindness they experienced in their early lives.
Life in a Loving Pack
Integrating Finn and Bella into our home has been a joy. Watching Bella’s zest for life as she chases after a ball or wrestles with her new doodle siblings is a daily reminder of the simple pleasures dogs bring. And Finn, ever the thoughtful onlooker, has found his place as the pack’s calm and gentle guardian. His true love is a stuffed teddy bear.
Our three resident doodles—Charlotte, Remi, and Bailey—have embraced these newcomers with open paws, and it’s heartwarming to see the bonds forming. The joy, playfulness, and companionship shared among them are beautiful reminders of why fostering is so rewarding.
A Hopeful Future
Fostering is not just about providing temporary care; it’s about giving dogs like Finn and Bella a chance to feel safe, and to know they are loved. It’s about preparing them for their forever homes, where they can thrive and bring the same joy they’ve brought to us.
Finn and Bella have so much love to give. They deserve a future filled with soft beds, long walks, and human companionship. While it’s bittersweet to think of saying goodbye, the joy of knowing they’ll find their perfect match makes it all worthwhile.
Fostering these two doodles has been a privilege. They’ve reminded us of the resilience of animals and the profound impact we can have when we open our hearts and homes. Finn and Bella, with their gentle souls and loving natures, are proof that every dog deserves a second chance—and that second chances can lead to incredible new beginnings.
